HOW DID WE FALL IN LOVE WITH NEW ORLEANS?

At Once.Madly.

Our Story

It all started with an empty courtyard on Beaver Street, and a trip to New Orleans where the concept of Sewickley Quarter emerged over banana fosters tableside in the famed Court of Two Sisters restaurant.

The Takeaway?

Banana Fosters is always a good idea, and a true French Quarter courtyard consists of five essential elements:

ENCLOSURE

To stay tucked away, private and hidden.

FOLIAGE

Lush greens and nature you can see and feel.

FOCAL POINT

A water element, typically a fountain, that adds drama and anchors the space.

LIGHT

Those forever flickering lanterns glowing day and night.

TEXTURE

Brick surfaces to stay grounded to your roots.

We gathered all of the French Quarter inspiration we could hold in our hearts, and released it into that empty courtyard in Sewickley, a Pennsylvania town with its own unique flair.

The rest…is history.

Meet the Team

  • OWNER, WEDDING DIRECTOR

Creativity and planning have always been Hannah’s big passions.

Growing up, you could find her painting her bedroom door like a canvas–with mom’s encouragement! Hannah’s natural curiosity to take something practical and make it equally as beautiful has inspired her throughout her career in the wedding industry.

“I showed Hannah pictures of my vision and she brought it all to life…in 4 months! She is the kindest soul, so personable, and knows the details of planning a seamless wedding inside and out…"

From floral design, full scale wedding planning, and many years in the hospitality field, Hannah has combined the artistic with the logistics through Sewickley Quarter. Creating an entire wedding experience from scratch is her biggest canvas yet, with each couple front and center.

“....My mom and I started to feel like Hannah was part of our family because she cares so much, and we looked forward to all our meetings with her. She was so organized with every detail and very accommodating to any special requests. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and wedding planner; our wedding day truly felt like a fairytale.” - Sewickley Quarter bride Joanna, married October 2023.

  • EXECUTIVE CHEF

Sewickley Quarter’s creativity extends far beyond the front of house and can be found in every plate that passes through our bustling kitchen, run by Chef Erika!

Erika’s background in logistics and team management pairs perfectly with the art and energy of our catering department, and her Mexican cooking skills from her time spent in the Texas culinary scene has inspired many of the SQ signature dishes.

Erika’s inventive menu goes far beyond the typical wedding fare, and will have your guests anticipating each course. Each wedding dinner can be customized to fit your theme and style. Her most recent creation? A six course vegan menu for a 2024 couple including beet tartare with a molecular egg yolk made from OJ and calcium chloride. Casual.

Chef Erika’s approach to your wedding food? Consistency and hospitality.

“We are so proud when our couples not only have an amazing experience, but also that your 100 guests enjoyed themselves. It's not just about the food for us, the service and overall experience is so important too.”

Erika’s go-to dance floor song? Believe by Cher. Sorry, Mr. Brightside!

  • EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT AND BEVERAGE PROGRAM MANAGER

With a degree in Psychology and a background in hospitality, Cassidy found her way to Sewickley Quarter due to a strong passion for working with people and has grown to be a key part of our wedding and events team. From scheduling your first tour of the courtyard, to making sure every cocktail served at your wedding is crafted with care, her attention to detail translates from the desk to the dance floor.

Her favorite specialty drink? A Hugo: Prosecco, elderflower, mint, lime, and seltzer.

The most satisfying wedding task on her to-do list? Lighting up all of the candles under your reception tent. “It's a small detail, but always seals the deal. Seeing dozens of them all lit and done up is always so satisfying.”

When Cassidy is on site, your plans are in the best of hands.

  • WEDDING PLANNING ASSISTANT

Jessica has over 15 years of experience in the event industry, first as a fundraiser for the local performance arts scene, later as full-time wedding planner, and now as your Day-of Coordinator at Sewickley Quarter!

Her detail-oriented approach to planning will help your wedding day go off without a hitch and her positive vibes keep her and your guests smiling while she does so.

When she's not at The Quarter, Jessica is playing and cuddling with her two little girls and running her own balloon decor business, The Cheerful Balloon Co.
